Chartboost SDK integration issues: interstitial not loading after app resume on Android 12+

we're encountering a consistent bug where chartboost interstitials fail to load post app resume on Android 12+ devices; the SDK integration appears stabile otherwise, but this is a real pain.
specifically, subsequent cacheInterstitial() calls after a background-foreground transition result in a black screen or timeout.
anyone faced this before?
