Clickadu Traffic Quality Issues?

Hey everyone,

I've been running Clickadu push campaigns for a while now, and usually, they're pretty solid. But lately, I'm pulling my hair out with performance. I'm seeing decent impression and CTR numbers, but conversions have absolutely cratered. It genuinely feels like the traffic quality has dropped off a cliff, or something is fundamentally broken with how conversions are being attributed (or not!). My tracking data just doesn't align with what I'm seeing on Clickadu's side, and it's driving me insane.

I've tweaked bids, tried different GEOs, re-checked my postback URL meticulously, and even launched entirely new creatives. Nothing seems to budge the needle. It's like I'm getting bot traffic or something completely irrelevant that just clicks but never converts. For example, here's a typical discrepancy I'm seeing:

Campaign ID: 12345
Date: 2023-10-27
Impressions: 150,000
Clicks: 1,500
CTR: 1.0%
Conversions (Clickadu): 15
Conversions (My Tracker): 2

Has anyone else experienced a significant dip in traffic quality on Clickadu recently? What are your go-to strategies for diagnosing and fixing this? Are there specific settings or filters I might be overlooking to get cleaner traffic?

I'm losing money daily and desperately need some expert insights here. Any advice would be a lifesaver!

Hey Manish Singh,

I understand the frustration when tracking numbers don't align, especially when you're "pulling your hair out" and losing money. First off, regarding your "re-checked" postback URL, while perfectly understandable, the standard spelling is often 'rechecked' as one word โ€“ a minor detail, but attention to detail is key in this business!

The discrepancy you're seeing (15 conversions on Clickadu vs. 2 on your tracker) is significant and points to a critical issue with either your Server Postbacks or a fundamental traffic quality problem. Given your efforts, let's focus on structured diagnostics:

  1. S2S Tracking Verification: This is paramount. Ensure your S2S postback URL is correctly configured on Clickadu's side, and crucially, that your tracker is correctly receiving and processing the `external_id` (or `click_id`) parameter passed by Clickadu. Without the correct `external_id` being returned in the postback, Clickadu cannot attribute the conversion. Check your tracker's raw conversion logs to see if it's sending the `external_id` back to Clickadu for those 2 conversions it recorded.
  2. Source-Level Analysis: Your current impression and click numbers are aggregates. Dive into your tracker and break down performance by `sub_id` (which corresponds to Clickadu's source IDs). Identify which specific sources are generating clicks but zero conversions. These are your primary candidates for blacklisting. You might be paying for clicks from a few high-volume, low-quality sources that are skewing your overall data.
  3. Filtering Strategies: Beyond basic GEOs, consider applying more granular filters within Clickadu. Experiment with filtering by browser versions (older versions can sometimes indicate bot traffic), connection types (e.g., exclude Wi-Fi if your offer performs better on mobile data, or vice-versa), and operating system versions. Sometimes, excluding older OS versions or specific low-engagement device types can significantly clean up traffic.
  4. Landing Page & Offer Funnel: While you suspect traffic quality, itโ€™s always worth a quick audit of your landing page load speed, mobile responsiveness, and the clarity of your call-to-action. A sudden drop might also coincide with an unnoticed issue on your end.

Start by meticulously verifying your S2S tracking setup and then segmenting your data by source to identify the culprits. What specific tracking platform are you currently using to manage your campaigns and conversions?

OMG, the S2S tracking tip was spot on, fixed the discrepancy, but now my tracker's showing conversions with like a 10-minute delay from Clickadu's side, is that normal?
