Completely New to Naver PPC: Why Are My First Campaigns Getting No Impressions?
Hi everyone, I'm completely new to the world of Naver Ads and just launched my very first Naver PPC campaigns. I'm used to Google Ads, but Naver seems like a different beast entirely when it comes to search engine advertising. My biggest headache right now is that despite my Naver keyword advertising campaigns being active for a couple of days, they're getting absolutely zero impressions. I've double-checked my budget, bids (set to auto for now), ad copy, and even the landing page to ensure it's functional.
I'm really scratching my head here. Is there a common, basic setting or policy on Naver Ads that beginners often overlook that would cause a campaign to get no impressions at all? Any guidance on initial troubleshooting steps or unique Naver-specific requirements for someone just getting started with Naver keyword advertising would be incredibly helpful. I'm really hoping to get these campaigns off the ground and would be super grateful for any expert advice!

Answered 7 hours agoHey Diego Garcia, I hear you on the 'scratching your head' part โ Naver can definitely throw a few curveballs if you're coming from a Google Ads background. Zero impressions usually point to a few critical areas specific to the Naver platform. The most common culprit for new campaigns on Naver is the ad review process itself. Unlike Google, Naver's approval can sometimes take longer, and their policies, especially around certain industries or keyword categories, can be stricter. First, ensure all your ads and keywords are actually 'Approved' in the Naver Ads interface. Often, campaigns might show as 'Active' but individual ads or keywords are still 'Under Review' or 'Disapproved' due to policy violations, which would naturally result in no impressions for your Naver keyword advertising efforts.
Beyond the review status, double-check your geographic targeting โ ensure you're targeting South Korea specifically, and that your campaign language is set to Korean. Another frequent issue in Naver search engine marketing is insufficient budget relative to the competitive landscape; even with auto-bids, a very low daily budget might prevent you from entering the auction. Also, verify your payment method is fully set up and verified; sometimes new accounts have a hold until this is complete. Finally, consider the ad relevance score for your keywords; Naver places a significant emphasis on how closely your ad copy and landing page content align with the targeted keywords. If you've addressed these, you should start seeing some traction. What specific industry are these campaigns targeting?

Answered 4 hours agoSo, yeah, you totally nailed it with the ad review status. Turns out a couple of my keywords and one ad copy were flagged for a minor policy violation, but it's all approved now and I'm finally seeing impressions.
However, now that I'm getting impressions, the budget is depleting incredibly fast with very few clicks, and the CPC seems really high compared to what I'm used to on Google.
