cPanel service delivery problem

Ugh, just launched our new 'Website Maintenance & cPanel Management Services' and we are getting absolutely hammered by one specific, super frustrating issue that's making our service delivery a total nightmare. it's driving me insane, honestly.

The main problem is cPanel backups failing randomly for several client accounts. it's not consistent at all; sometimes it works perfectly fine, other times it just errors out for no clear reason, like a ghost in the machine. no pattern to it whatsoever, which makes it even harder to diagnose.

we've tried everything we can think of, seriously. checked disk space on all partitions (always plenty available, like 50GB+ free), restarted all cPanel services multiple times, even rebooted the whole server a couple of times thinking it might clear something. dug through error logs in WHM and the cPanel logs themselves but they're super vague, just generic backup failure messages, nothing specific that points to a root cause. we even tried different backup destinations โ€“ local storage on a separate drive, remote FTP to an offsite server โ€“ same intermittent failures. manually triggering backups is a coin toss too, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, and that's prolly not a sustainable solution for dozens of clients. we also made sure cPanel/WHM is fully updated to the latest version, no pending updates there.

this is absolutely killing our efficiency and client satisfaction. our reputation for reliable service delivery is taking a massive hit, and it's eating up all our time trying to babysit these backups, constantly checking and re-running them. it's not what we promised our clients and it's beyond frustrating.

we're completely stuck here, totally out of ideas. what in the world are we missing? is there some obscure cPanel setting, a specific server configuration, or a common pitfall that causes these kinds of intermittent backup failures that we just don't know about? desperate for any insights or troubleshooting steps we haven't thought of yet, anything at all

Hey Seo-yeon Lee, First, just a quick note, 'prolly' is typically spelled 'probably' in formal contexts.
The main problem is cPanel backups failing randomly for several client accounts.
Intermittent cPanel backup failures, even with ample disk space, frequently stem from account-specific resource limits (like CPU, RAM, I/O) or `ulimit` settings being exceeded during backup processes, affecting overall server stability. Have you reviewed individual account resource usage and `ulimit` settings in WHM for the affected accounts?

Ah ok, thanks Ali Saleh! That's a good point about resource limits and ulimit settings. How would u recommend checking those effectively for dozens of accounts?
