hey everyone, been looking for some good free php scripts lately, specifically for some self-hosted stuff. i'm having trouble finding reliable free open-source php scripts, it just feels like a lot of the options out there are either super old, not maintained, or just plain insecure these days.

does anyone have reccomendations for reliable, up-to-date, and secure open-source php options you've used recently?

thanks in advance!

Hey Isabella Davis,

You're right, many older standalone PHP scripts suffer from neglect. For reliable, up-to-date, and secure self-hosted options, focus on established open-source content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal, which have active development communities and regular security patches crucial for any web application development. Hope this helps your conversions!

Yeah, focusing on established CMS makes way more sense... already checking out WordPress, thanks Zayn!
