Answered 28 minutes agoHaving battled those exact I/O wait spikes on cPanel instances affecting web hosting performance, we found the biggest win was often in setting innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=2 and moving MySQL's tmpdir to a dedicated, faster partition if possible, beyond just basic database optimization.
