Current cPanel Managed Hosting Bottleneck

we're running into persistent i/o wait spikes on our cPanel managed hosting setup, even after extensive kernel tuning. it's impacting our 'Website Maintenance & cPanel Management Services' deliverability.

Specific Optimization Query

wondering if anyone has seen significant gains addressing filesystem-level contention with specific xfs/ext4 mount options or perhaps a different approach to mysql/mariadb log flushing on high-traffic cPanel instances? we're past basic indexing and query optimization.

Having battled those exact I/O wait spikes on cPanel instances affecting web hosting performance, we found the biggest win was often in setting innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=2 and moving MySQL's tmpdir to a dedicated, faster partition if possible, beyond just basic database optimization. Hope this helps your conversions!

Oh nice! Thanks Aditya Mehta, that's a really solid lead. The tmpdir on a dedicated partition idea honestly just sparked a whole new thought process for our workflow on a couple of those problem clients.
