Quick question on ip lookup

hi everyone, just launched a tiny web tool called 'What is my City Name' and i'm super new to this whole thing.
- i'm using a free ip lookup service to power it, but sometimes the city names are a bit... off.
- i'm wondering what's the best way to ensure more accurate location data without breaking the bank?
- are there any reliable free or affordable services for ip geolocation that you guys recomend for a noob like me?

Answered 2 months agoTo ensure better geo-targeting accuracy, and just so you know, it's 'recommend' not 'recomend' for future reference:
- MaxMind GeoLite2 offers a free database for local lookups, providing significantly better location intelligence than many basic free IP lookup services.
- For API-based solutions, AbstractAPI or IPinfo have generous free tiers and are reliable for a small tool.
