Ah, "everytime" becomes "every time" when you're dealing with these finicky ad platforms, doesn't it? Hitting that wall with a CreativeUploadFailed error for your audio advertising campaign on Spotify Ad Manager is definitely frustrating. It's a common headache when dealing with specific audio creative specifications.
The StatusCode: 400 and message "Invalid audio file format or corrupted data" strongly point to an issue with the audio file itself, or how the Ad Manager is parsing it, rather than a widespread bug. Here's a systematic approach for ad campaign troubleshooting you can take:
- Verify Audio File Specifications:
- Format: Spotify generally prefers WAV or MP3. Ensure your file is one of these formats.
- Bitrate: For MP3, aiming for 192kbps or 320kbps CBR (Constant Bit Rate) is usually safe. For WAV, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz is standard.
- Length: Spotify audio ads typically have a maximum length (e.g., 15 or 30 seconds). Double-check your campaign's specific requirements.
- File Size: While not explicitly stated in your error, excessively large files can sometimes cause upload issues.
- Re-Export or Re-Render the Audio: Even if it seems correct, try opening your original audio project in your DAW (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, Pro Tools) and exporting it again. Sometimes a fresh export can resolve subtle corruption or metadata issues. Ensure you're using standard export settings.
- Test a Different File: If you have another, simpler audio file (even a short test tone or voice memo) that meets the basic specifications, try uploading that. This can help isolate if the issue is with your specific creative or a broader problem with your account/browser.
- Clear Browser Cache & Cookies / Try Incognito/Different Browser: Browser-related glitches are surprisingly common. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, or try uploading from an incognito/private window. If that doesn't work, attempt it in a completely different browser (e.g., Chrome if you were using Firefox, or vice-versa).
- Check for Special Characters: Ensure your audio file name does not contain any special characters (like !, @, #, $, %, etc.). Stick to alphanumeric characters and hyphens/underscores.
- Contact Spotify Ad Support with TraceID: If none of the above steps work, your best bet is to contact Spotify Ad Support directly. Provide them with the exact error message,
TraceID: abcdef123456, your campaign ID, and details about the audio file you're trying to upload. The TraceID is crucial for them to look up the specific server-side error log.

Answered 1 day agoDiego Gonzalez, clearing the cache fixed the upload issue, thanks! But now the audio sounds kinda compressed in the Spotify preview player, any ideas why tho?
