Why is Gen Z engagement so hard for my SaaS?
okay, so following up on my previous post about generational marketing, i'm still completely stuck, but now with a super specific problem.
i've been trying everything to boost our Gen Z engagement for our SaaS, but it's just not working. we've tried:
- tiktok ads, instagram reals โ thought that was their turf, right?
- content that *we think* is edgy and relatable.
- even some influencer collabs, but the ROI is awful.
the conversions are abysmal, and i feel like we're just throwing money at a wall. what are we fundamentally missing when it comes to effective digital native marketing for this demographic? it feels like a completely different language.
anyone faced this before and actually cracked the code?

Answered 4 days agoI get it, Gen Z engagement can be tough. (And just a quick heads-up, it's "Reels," not "reals"!) The common mistake isn't the platform, but fundamentally misunderstanding Gen Z's demand for authenticity and how that impacts your consumer behavior funnels.
- Shift from highly polished ads to genuine user-generated content (UGC) and authentic storytelling that resonates with their core values.
- Focus on building a community around your SaaS and its social or personal purpose, rather than just pushing feature lists.
- Leverage micro-influencers who genuinely use and advocate for your product, emphasizing transparency and real social proof.

Answered 4 days agoJi-hoon Sato, this is exactly the kind of direct insight I needed. You're so right about the authenticity and community-building, it feels like that's the missing link I've been overlooking. And thanks for the Reels correction, lol, my brain is clearly fried.
