Why is my citation software messing with data accuracy?
hey guys, circling back to the local citations chat. appreciate all the tool suggestions last time! so, i picked one (let's call it 'Citationator Pro' cause it sounds legit, right?) but it's giving me a headache with data accuracy.
the issue is, even after i meticulously enter all the NAP details, sometimes it just... changes them. like, randomly swaps street numbers or adds a typo to the business name when it's supposed to be pushing updates. it's like it has a mind of its own, trying to be 'creative' with my client's info.
here's a little snippet from its 'activity log' that just blows my mind sometimes:
[2023-10-26 14:31:01] INFO: Pushing update for "Acme Widgets Co."
[2023-10-26 14:31:02] WARN: Address change detected: "123 Main St" -> "132 Main St"
[2023-10-26 14:31:03] WARN: Business name variation: "Acme Widgets Co." -> "Acme Wigets Co."
[2023-10-26 14:31:04] ERROR: Phone number format mismatch: "+1 555-123-4567" -> "5551234567"
[2023-10-26 14:31:05] INFO: Update complete for "Acme Wigets Co." i'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out if it's user error, a bug in the software, or if i'm just missing some critical setting to lock everything down. any one else dealt with this kind of rogue software messing up their local SEO efforts and data accuracy, impacting overall data integrity?
help a brother out please...
