why is my dynamic sitemap breaking laravel seo?
oh man, i am totally stuck and seriously frustrated. my 'Dynamic XML Sitemap' for our laravel app is absolutely messing up all our hard work on laravel seo optimization, and i'm just hitting a wall here. we implemented this auto-updating sitemap solution, specifically something like 'Dynamic XML Sitemap for Laravel & All Websites', thinking it would be a huge win for indexing and overall visibility. instead, google search console is throwing up all sorts of bizarre errors, pages that should be indexed aren't showing up, and i just can't for the life of me figure out what's gone wrong.
i've been at this for hours, literally checked everything i can think ofโfile permissions, cron job schedules to make sure it's updating, even tried manually re-generating the sitemap a bunch of times. it seriously feels like there's some fundamental conflict or a really subtle misconfiguration i'm completely missing. what are the absolute first things i should be looking at when a dynamic sitemap seems to be actively hurting seo, especially in a laravel environment? are there any common gotchas or specific debugging steps for this kind of problem? thanks in advance!

Answered 11 hours ago- First, manually inspect the generated XML sitemap file itself for any non-200 URLs, `noindex` directives, or malformed entries.
- Confirm your `robots.txt` isn't accidentally blocking the sitemap or critical sections of your site, impacting your `crawl budget`.
- Verify the `lastmod` dates are accurate and that the sitemap's URL is correctly submitted and accessible (HTTP 200) in Google Search Console for optimal `indexing efficiency`.
