why is my geolocation tool acting like a broken compass?
briefly, my 'what is my location?' tool, which uses geolocation, has been acting a bit... off lateley. it's pointing me to different cities, sometimes even countries, which is hilarious but also kinda annoying for location accuracy. anyone got ideas why a geolocation tool would suddenly go rogue like this? help a brother out please...

This usually happens because the IP address lookup databases are outdated or your ISP is routing your traffic through different nodes, impacting location data accuracy. Hope this helps your conversions!

Answered 5 days agoYeah, what you said about the outdated IP databases totally clicked for me, explains why my tool was so off. But now I'm wondering, is there a reliable way to actually *force* an update or verify the IP data source accuracy for these tools? Kinda crucial for targeting.
