Hey everyone,

Our 'Keyword Density & Frequency Checker' tool usually does a solid job for content optimization and content analysis, but it's been acting really weird lately. We're consistently getting different keyword density and frequency results for the exact same pages that haven't been updated in weeks, which makes me think it's a parsing issue on our end.

Here's a dummy snippet of what we're seeing in our logs (not an actual error, but indicative):
[2023-10-27 10:30:01] ERROR: InconsistentTokenizationError - URL: example.com/page1
Keyword: "marketing" - Expected Density: 1.5%, Actual: 1.2%
Keyword: "strategy" - Expected Frequency: 15, Actual: 18
[2023-10-27 10:35:05] ERROR: InconsistentTokenizationError - URL: example.com/page1
Keyword: "marketing" - Expected Density: 1.5%, Actual: 1.8%
Keyword: "strategy" - Expected Frequency: 15, Actual: 13
Has anyone encountered similar parsing weirdness with their web tools or have any pointers on how to debug this effectively? Help a brother out please...

  • Inconsistent results for content analysis typically stem from how your tool fetches and parses content. Verify if the pages use client-side rendering or dynamic content loading (e.g., JavaScript, A/B tests); your tool might be parsing raw HTML in one instance and a partially rendered DOM in another.
  • Ensure your tool's parsing engine consistently handles JavaScript execution and applies a uniform tokenization logic, avoiding variations in how it processes dynamic elements, hidden text, or script content, which is crucial for accurate keyword analysis and effective SEO optimization.

Oh nice, I'm pretty sure we don't have any client-side rendering or dynamic content loading causing it, tho, so that's good to rule out.
