Nudge Marketing for Beginners?

I'm completely new to the world of behavioral triggers and nudge marketing, and I'm trying to wrap my head around how to actually implement these concepts in a SaaS product.

• Onboarding Progress Bars: Implement a clear 'X% complete' progress bar during user onboarding. This leverages the "commitment and consistency" principle, as users are more likely to finish what they've started.
• Default Settings & Smart Defaults: Pre-select common or recommended options in settings or forms. This reduces cognitive load and leverages the "status quo bias," making it easier for users to stick with the default rather than making a change.
• In-App Prompts for Unused Features: If a user hasn't touched a key feature after a certain period, a subtle in-app message or tooltip (e.g., "Did you know you can streamline your workflow with Feature X?") can serve as a gentle reminder, leveraging "salience" and "prompting."
• Social Proof Indicators: Display subtle cues like "X people in your team use this integration" or "Most users prefer this template." This taps into the "social proof" principle, where people are more likely to adopt behaviors if they see others doing it.
