Totally confused selecting an accurate IP lookup service for simple geo-targeting, any reliable cheap options?

hey everyone, i just launched my super small saas a few weeks ago and things are slowly picking up, which is exciting! i'm trying to add a little personalization to the user experience by showing content based on where they're accessing the app from. nothing fancy, just like, region-specific messages or maybe different offers, you know? the thing is, i'm totally new to anything related to ip addresses and location data. i've been looking into ip geocoding tools and ip lookup services, and honestly, i'm completely overwhelmed. there are so many providers out there, and i don't even know where to begin figuring out which one is actually good or accurate. i saw some talk about needing a good geo ip database, but then how do i even use that?

my main goal right now is just basic country detection, that's it. accuracy is obviously important so i don't show canadian offers to someone in mexico, but cost-effectiveness is also a huge factor for a bootstrapped project like mine. and oh, integration complexity is a big concern too, since i'm not exactly an expert in this area. could anyone here recommend a reliable, accurate, and relatively cheap or even free ip lookup service or api that's easy for a beginner to integrate? what are some common pitfalls or things i should really look out for when choosing one of these services
