man i've been fighting with this async code for hours and i'm completely stuck. my javascript promises are just sitting in a 'pending' state, never resolving or rejecting, like the event loop is just ignoreing them. i seriously need urgent help understanding why they're not completing. waiting for an expert reply.

Hey Malik Mensah, sounds like you're deep in the async rabbit hole โ€“ it's "ignoring," not "ignoreing," but easy to miss when promises are giving you grief!

Your JavaScript promises are likely still pending because you're either missing a `resolve()` or `reject()` call within the promise executor, or you're not correctly `await`ing the promise in an `async` function, preventing it from moving out of the microtask queue. Hope this helps your conversions!

Yeah, thanks a lot for the reply Alexander Davis. Seriously, it's pretty rare to get such clear and direct advice online these days, usually it's just more confusing stuff. Appreciate you taking the time.
